F.O.H. Closes Regular Season with a Double Header Sweep

Friday Office Hangover capped a record regular season with two wins on Thursday's double header. Behind pitching from relief pitcher turned 2-game starter Bryan Derr and sparkling defense all over the diamond, F.O.H. took the games 4-0 and 10-1.

The highlights of the night happened in the second game of the night, against the previously undefeated and first place team. With one out in the third and the bases loaded, Steve-O swung at a meaty pitch and deposited it into the woods in Left Field. The first Grand Slam in team history put the team up 5-0.

Not to be outdone, Nicki sent a bases loaded bunt in the 5th back towards the pitcher. His attempt to hit the runner at the plate was errant, and rolled onto the adjacent field. As confusion set in among the defenders about who would retrieve the ball, Nicki rested on first base for a moment, then continued her way around the bases. She ended up with a bunt Grand Slam, and celebrated her first career home run by screaming all the way from 3rd to the plate.

F.O.H. takes a 6-1 record into the playoffs. It's on.
